Time to Relax

Now that the party is over!!!

Ken and Brenda stopped at Judy's this morning to say goodbye before they headed home.

Twyla and Joe stopped on their way also for a quick visit. Sad to say goodbye to them. I sure miss my daughter and her family. They live so far away for us. Hope to see them again soon.

Theran and Heidi got ready to leave and discovered that they had topped up their gas SUV last night with diesel by mistake. Big cloud of smoke when he started it. Tom kept Skylar busy while they moved their stuff to Larry's truck to go home. They will have to get their vehicle checked out.

Tom, Judy and I took a little tour this afternoon to look at the monster house that is being built a few miles from her farm. We looked at this 3 years ago when we were here. Not much more has been done to the house. They have dredged out a lake on the property and used the dirt to build a big berm across the front of the property. We heard he wanted the lake to be able to land a plane. The house was open so we took a look around.

This is the view of the patio and lake from what must be the great room.

This is a huge indoor pool. The pool was open last time we were here. It is now covered with plywood. The view from this room is incredible.

This is the outside. There is a 3 car garage on the left end with servants quarters above. There is a separate building to the left which is another garage with 3 or 4 bays. Not too shabby!!

We drove back to the lake and took a look at some cabins that were for sale. A couple that were in our price range were just shacks with no potential at all. The other two were nice but priced at over a quarter million. Too much for us. We thought a place around here would be great to spend our summers. But no luck!!
Judy make a lovely dinner and we spent the evening relaxing. Hope all our family that left today are home safe and sound. Twyla messaged me to let us know they were close to home and were tired after being on the road for about 10 hours.
Until next time - safe travels.
